Since a young age, I’ve often wondered why people don’t talk more about the bigger questions in life.

What is life? What are we doing here?

Seeking to understand it all, I studied diverse philosophies and religions, traveled 25+ countries, deconstructed my conservative Christian worldview, tried some acid, joined a half-cult, and much much more.

At the end of the day, I came to understand that there is an ultimate unifier behind it all.

People call this unifying ultimacy by many names: God, truth, consciousness, Allah, presence, awareness, the universe, Buddha nature, and many more. 

But if there’s an undeniable reality that I’ve learned in my short 3.5 decades of life, it is that we are all on a journey to understand, feel, and share with one another in this oneness. To be unified in our truest, divine nature, in Christ.

No matter how long or painful it may be at times, we’re each expanding in consciousness, learning iteratively how to live in greater alignment with our higher selves, aligned in truth - towards ultimately, realizing that we are all fractals of one greater, indivisible whole.

Growing up, my dad (a pastor) told me, “Ien, if Jesus was born today, he’d be a filmmaker!” – because Jesus often spoke through parables.

And so, from my childhood, I fell in love with storytelling as a way to support the process of consciousness expansion within ourselves – crystallizing deeper insights, humanity, and spirit through sight & sound.

I hope in exploring my work you’ll feel something sparked within, a yearning towards greater expansion, and of glimpsing the deeper spirit within.
