Tick Tock
2011 - Writer, Director, Editor
Tick Tock is a film I created as a sophomore in college. Inspired by a Steve Jobs quote about how contemplating our own death creates clarity in our lives, I set out to tell a short story of a young man who seemingly has only 5 minutes left to live.
This film ended up winning Best Picture and Best Director at International Campus MovieFest 2011 - the world’s largest student film festival. It became the top rated and most viewed Campus MovieFest film of all time, made it to #1 on the front page on Reddit, garnered 1,600,000+ views, and was featured on The Guardian, Gizmodo, NoFilmSchool, The Daily What, among others. It has also been translated to at least four languages and has been televised in Britain, Netherlands, and Japan among other countries.
